You don't have to get on a bike to make a difference. We are looking for on-foot folks who have the same enthusiasm and passion as our cyclists. Together we will all work to ensure that the event goes smoothly and successfully and that each rider feels like a hero! The success of Ride the Rideau will be directly related to the efforts of our volunteers.
There will be lots to do! We welcome volunteers with a wide range of skills. We need people to help with the physical setup and logistics and provide active route support and general rider and event services at the start, along the route, at pit stops, and at the finish line in Merrickville.
We'll take care of you, too. As a volunteer you will receive all of the orientation and training you need, a custom Ride the Rideau volunteer T-shirt, and access to the entire event.
Experienced Ride Guides
Register to be a Ride Guide
Ride Guides are experienced group riders who will be on the route to provide guidance and support for our riders as well as help in an emergency situation. Guides are assigned a specific pace that they maintain throughout the ride. If you are an experienced group event cyclist and are interested in helping our riders, please register to volunteer as a guide.
